MARATHON STARTS TODAY!

4/15/2024 7:36 am

Student’s get a good stretch, your laces tied tight and ready to run, walk or skip tomorrow, April 15th at lunch recess!

Reminders for your student’s:

  1. HAVE FUN!  Talk to your student about running for fun and there is success running 1 lap or a full marathon!

  2. K/1 GOALS - Due to a shortened K/1 lunch recess, our goal for these grades will be a half marathon. If you have a first grader, let them know they can still try to get to a marathon, but the goal for these younger grades will be a half marathon.

  3. RUNNING CARDS - These are to STAY AT SCHOOL in your student’s cubby. Please remind your student that these cards will not come home with them and to keep them at school in their cubby. If a student forgets their card, we will NOT be able to track laps for them that day, but they are always welcome to run for fun.

  4. LOST CARDS - If a student loses their card, they will need to tell their teacher who will reach out to your classroom representative to have a new one printed.

  5. WATER - Please encourage your student to bring out their water bottle to recess. We will not have paper cups available this year.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED! Sign up below:We're looking for volunteers Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays April 15-May 31 to help track miles. There are multiple time slots of just 45 min. increments.  It is a great way for family members to get involved!  All you have to do is sign-up for the lap tracker app on your phone, hit start and scan as our students complete each lap.  The app will track all student progress as they run to 26.2 miles!

S.N.A.C.K. Together

3/27/2024 12:07 pm

We want to express our gratitude to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to organize our recent S.N.A.C.K. Together event. Thanks to their hard work and the support of their families, our S.N.A.C.K. Together event was a huge success for the third year!

During this special hour, families enjoyed a culinary journey through Canada, Korea, Scotland, and the Philippines. Delicious snacks were accompanied by speakers from each culture, sharing their personal stories, traditions, and interesting facts.

The impact of S.N.A.C.K. Together goes beyond just one hour—it reminds us of the power of food and cultural exchange to bring us together as a community. We are truly grateful for our volunteers, whose generosity helps us celebrate diversity and unity. Let's continue to embrace these values and enjoy the joy of food together!

Thank you to our S.N.A.C.K. volunteers!
