School of Excellence Parent Survey

6/5/2026 9:41 am

🏆

This year, the Peter Kirk PTSA has worked hard to ensure that every student and family feels welcomed, valued, and connected as an important part of our school community. Now we'd love to hear from you!

Please take 5–10 minutes to complete this anonymous survey and share your feedback. Your input will help us celebrate what's working well, identify opportunities for growth, and guide our planning for the 2026–27 school year.

The survey results will also be submitted as part of our application to the National PTA School of Excellence program.

Thank you for taking the time to share your voice and help make Peter Kirk an even stronger community for all students and families!

Yearbook Sales Have Reopened — Very Limited Supply!

6/5/2026 9:37 am

Missed the deadline? We’ve ordered a very small batch of extra yearbooks for families who forgot to order, and once these are gone, we are out for the year.

We’ve sold out the last three years, and this tiny batch will go fast. Instead of selling the extras at a table during the last days of school, we’re offering them online now so families who see this announcement get first priority.

And to everyone who took the time to write a nomination: your words made this day even more meaningful. The Peter Kirk Elementary Eagles Marathon has come to a close! Our students showed incredible enthusiasm and determination through the entire month of May. Thank you to our incredible parent volunteers who scanned their laps and cheered them on - we couldn't have done it without you!

Some exciting highlights from the marathon this year:

  • Double Marathons: 4 students! Shoutout to Rhys Grannan (1st), Robert Gilmore (3rd), Long Pham (5th) and Oren David (5th). They averaged 3+ miles every day!
  • Full Marathon finishers: 110
  • Half Marathon finishers: 217
  • 10K finishers: 362
  • 5k finishers: 470
  • Almost 10% of the students ran every single day!
  • Total school miles: 7,646
  • Top classes by mileage: Chung (611), Frost (506), Vuylsteke (431) and Matrecano (429)

We made some changes this year to the marathon, most notably shortening the program from 26 days to 18. We'd love your feedback on the program! Below is a link to a survey!

Eagles In Action - Last Chance to Submit Hours is June 12!

6/4/2026 1:31 pm

Eagles in Action is a service-learning program open to all students at Peter Kirk, encouraging kids to give back to our school and greater community. Whether supporting a local organization or participating in school-based service, every act of kindness counts.

If your student volunteered over the year, now is the time to log those hours! Don’t forget that time spent with Green Team and Safety Patrol also counts toward service hours.

Students who complete 10 or more volunteer hours during the school year will be recognized with a small prize as a thank-you for their commitment to helping others. Let’s celebrate our Eagles for making a positive impact!

Submit Volunteer Hours!

Turn Your Adult Volunteer Hours into Funding!

6/4/2026 1:30 pm

Did you know many local employers (like Microsoft, Google, and Boeing) will "match" your volunteer time with a cash donation to our school? If you’ve helped in the classroom, on a field trip, or with a PTSA event, please log those hours in your company’s giving portal!

Just search for and designate Peter Kirk Elementary PTSA as your beneficiary (Tax ID: 91-1238434).
