A fair and impartial nomination process relies on the involvement of our members and helps ensure the long-term success of our PTA. The Nominating Committee typically meets 3–5 times to review and interview potential leaders for our board.

We are currently seeking additional committee members who are passionate about shaping the future of our PTSA!

Join the Math Challenge!

Do you want your kids to get extra enrichment in math? 🧠✨ We’re already on the sixth Math Challenge set of the year (due Dec 11), but it’s not too late to join! This free enrichment program is open to all students and helps build problem-solving skills, perseverance, and a love of learning.

Each set offers fun, creative puzzles that can be done at home—perfect for kids who enjoy thinking outside the box. For those already participating, keep up the great work—we love seeing your enthusiasm for math!

Yearbook Needs Your Photos!

Families can upload school and PTSA event photos for possible inclusion in the yearbook. The yearbook team is currently collecting photos for the following events:

• Back to School Bingo
• 2nd Grade Garden
• Walk to School
• Lego Scavenger Hunt
• Trunk-or-Treat
• Halloween Parade 

Please note: Not all submitted photos will be included in the final yearbook.

Candy Buy Back

Thanks to our amazing community, our Candy Buy-Back was a huge success! Together, we donated over 303 pounds of candy. Thank you Neal Smiles! We were thrilled to have Neal Smiles Orthodontics back as our sponsor this year. They generously paid $1 per pound to reward healthy habits and arranged for all the collected candy to be shipped in support of our U.S. troops.

LWSF Winter Toy Drive

We're so grateful for the enthusiastic response to this year's Reflections Art Program! Our students embraced the theme "I Belong!" and we received 20 incredible submissions across all arts categories. Thank you to every student artist for sharing their creativity!

What's Next? The Journey Continues!

For those who submitted an entry, the process now moves forward to the Lake Washington PTSA (LWPTSA) Council, State, and National levels.

Here are the key next steps in the timeline:

• January: LWPTSA Council results will be announced on January 5, and we will host a special LWPTSA Reflections Open House on January 23 at the LWSD Resource Center to celebrate our entrants.
• March: WSPTA (State-Level) winners will be announced.
• May: National PTA winners will be announced.
