WHAT is the Fund Our Eagle / Fun Run?
The Fun Run is our one chance to fund the PTSA for the year! The annual run is the culmination of our fundraising drive for the 2024-2025 school year, and the run itself is an all school spirit celebration, in which ALL students run, walk or boogie, around the school parking lot showing of their best PK spirit.
Are laps counted or tracked for donations?
No! The run is a way for our students to get outside, be active, and celebrate the beginning of a great year at Peter Kirk. Laps are not counted, nor do donations correlate to the distance run by any child.
WHY are we raising money?
Well, to name a few...the robust art and clay program, Choir, Student Newspaper, Student Leadership, grade level enrichment opportunities (including Kindergarten Toy Maker and 3rd Grade Swim), math and reading clinics, and the list continues! All of these PTSA-sponsored programs are made possible by your generous donations to the PTSA's annual Fun Run
WHO gets to run?
Every PK student! All PK students are given an official 2024 Fun Run T-shirt and participate in the run.
WHEN is the Fun Run and can I come cheer on my student?
The Fun Run is in October and we absolutely encourage any parents, grandparents or family to come and cheer on your kiddos!
HOW do I donate?
Our goal for the 2024-2025 school year is $76,000. As such, we recommended a one-time donation of $200 per student, however, we really want to see 100% participation, so a donation in any amount helps! With your donations, we enrich the students' curriculum with classroom activities like art and STEM, host in-school events like Dance Dude and assemblies, subsidize classroom stipends and field trips, and bring families together in events like Trunk-or-Treat, Dance Party, and Carnival - spending over $200/student for these invaluable experiences.

In addition, some employers also match volunteer hours, so if you've helped out in the classroom, on a field trip, or at a class party, please submit those hours as well and designate the Peter Kirk PTSA as your beneficiary! We appreciate the wonderful support from our Peter Kirk community!
