PETER KIRK ELEMENTARY PTSA LEGO SCAVENGER HUNT
Wednesday, October 7th - Sunday, October 11th
This year’s hunt is launching with a brand-new clue format: codes, secret messages, and other puzzle-y challenges to solve along the way. We hope it becomes a fun family mission for everyone! With more complex clues to decode this year, we’re sending them out early so you have time to crack the code. Younger kids may need a little help from siblings, friends, or family, and if you’re truly stumped, email mission control - we're happy to help.
Mission Map
We’re sending a LOT more kits into orbit this year - over 600! Each location will have at least 20 kits, giving everyone more chances to make a discovery.
On school days: Solve the daily clues to discover 3 mystery neighborhood parks where LEGO kits will be hidden after school. Kits will also be hidden at Peter Kirk before and after school.
On Saturday and Sunday: New kits will be hidden at Peter Kirk in both the morning and afternoon. There will also be a different mystery park to discover each morning and afternoon!
At school, all LEGO kits will be hidden outside the school building and fenced areas. No kits will be hidden inside the school, within fenced areas, or in the parking lot.
Mission Rules
Please hunt respectfully and leave plants, landscaping, and park features just as you found them. Be kind and courteous to your fellow explorers, too — this mission is for the kids, so please let our student astronauts do the searching and discovering!
One kit per student, please! This helps make sure as many kids as possible get to join the fun. If your student happens to find more than one, they’re welcome to re-hide the extra kit at the same location for the next explorer to discover.
And yes — you get to keep the Lego kit you find! We’d love to see what you build!
Mission Details
You may notice the kit bags look different this year. With over 600 kits heading out into the wild, we wanted to cut down on waste. This year’s bags are reusable and compostable, with a recyclable paper insert instead of a sticker on the outside.
Have Lego bricks to spare? We accept donations all year long. We use Lego at STEM activities throughout the year and add donated pieces to next year’s Scavenger Hunt kits. Email us to coordinate a donation.
