Two notable examples from our comprehensive Enrichment Program include funding the yearbook for cherished memories and providing monthly Scholastic Magazines for educational enrichment.
With your support, Peter Kirk PTSA creates and supports programs to ENRICH the education experience, community, and overall well-being of students, teachers, and parents.
At the end of the year, students are able to bring home memories from their school year to cherish forever. The yearbook is joyfully created for the students by PTSA volunteers.
Each month, you may notice Scholastic Magazines come home with your student. Your support allows the PTSA to provide the funding for these non-fiction subscriptions.
Did you know the PTSA provides enrichment programming during school hours? From dance sessions to outdoor learning, we turn childhood favorites like playing in dirt into educational experiences. Grade-Level Enrichment offers fun education experiences, subsidized by PTSA.
You know those cool moves that your student shows off at home and the Dance Party? The PTSA loves providing this fun school-time experience that students participate in during PE.

And let’s not even start on the disappearing act of school supplies! :) While we’re sure your little angels would never, ever engage in such shenanigans, it’s good to know that PTSA grants ensure a fresh supply stash for all, regardless of their magical disappearing skills!

From organizing the lively Gallery Walk to hosting the beloved clay program, we’re here to sprinkle a little extra fun and creativity into every school day!
The PTSA provides a full art docent program. We supply all necessary materials and train over 100 family volunteers to deliver engaging art instruction, drawing from art history, technique, and criticism. Thanks to your generous donations, students create over 2400 masterpieces in one school year, showcasing their creativity and talent.
Picture this: once a year, Peter Kirk undergoes a magical transformation into a vibrant art gallery for Gallery Walk! With over 1200 dazzling student artworks gracing the walls and more than 200 lively ceramics on display, it’s an event that bursts with color, creativity, and boundless wonderment!
Students love to roll up their sleeves and unleash their inner artist with the PTSA’s special Clay Program! At Peter Kirk, students dive into the world of clay, getting their hands dirty as they sculpt unique masterpieces from scratch. With our kiln firing up their creations, every child brings home a one-of-a-kind treasure to cherish forever!
Did you know our PTSA is more than just a partnership between parents, teachers, and students? It’s a hive of creativity and innovation! From scavenging for LEGO treasures, engineering unique STEM projects, to coding our way into the future with the Hour of Code – and more – we’re empowering our students with hands-on experiences that build lifelong skills.
The PTSA hosts an epic annual event called the Lego Scavenger Hunt! Over the course of a week, Lego kits are scattered throughout our neighborhood parks and school grounds, challenging students and community members to discover and build their own creations! With over 20,000 Lego pieces carefully sorted into 175+ kits, and daily clues released, it’s a hunt that sparks creativity and fun for everyone involved!
The PTSA and our amazing volunteers team up to create an awesome STEM project. From engineering to troubleshooting, our volunteers guide kids through the process, while the PTSA provides materials and lessons. Together, we make STEM magic happen!
The PTSA’s STEM Program introduces all students to the Hour of Code, a free, fun-filled introduction to computer science. Through engaging activities and videos, learners of all skill levels dive into the exciting world of coding, helping them get comfortable with software engineering from an early age.
Events
Did you know our PTSA hosts some epic fall events? First up is the Fund the Eagles Fun Run, where students and teachers race to the beat with parents cheering them on. Trunk or Treat is a spook-tacular event in the fall, followed by the Candy Buy Back where a local dentist swaps candy for cash – it’s a sweet deal all around!
The PTSA’s main fundraiser! Students and teachers run for 10 minutes with music and parental support at the Fun Run. Top fundraising participation classes even get to spray silly string on the Associate Principal! It’s a lively day dedicated to reaching our fundraising goals!
Trunk or Treat is the spook-tacular event of the year for our school community! Families and staff go all out decorating their vehicle trunks, creating a boo-tiful display for our “Trunk or Treat” extravaganza. Hosted by the PTSA, we’ve got tricks and treats, and larger-than-life inflatables, making it a must-visit event for all ages!
The PTSA teams up with a local dentist who buys back candy from our students! Kids love the cash in their pockets, and parents and school staff love seeing fewer sugar rushes. Who knew the dentist would be so eager to turn away business? It’s a win-win for everyone – except maybe for those candy cravings!
Did you know? Winter with PTSA is a blast! Dive into books at the Scholastic Book Fair, groove at our glowing Dance Party, and savor multicultural treats at the S.N.A.C.K. event. It’s all about fun, family, and festivities.
The PTSA rolls out the red carpet for our annual Scholastic Book Fair, where families shop for books and supplies galore! Teachers share their classroom wishlist, and families can generously buy these books for their class. With many volunteers behind the scenes, it’s a school-wide favorite, and proceeds go straight to enriching our school library!

Every mile run in our recess marathon, every smile at our Carnival with over 3,500 prizes, and every curtain call in our school play is thanks to those who join and donate to the PTSA. Run, run, run! Our annual recess marathon lets students dash toward a half and full marathon over lunch breaks. With over 5,800 miles last year, it’s all about fun, fitness, and setting records, thanks to the PTSA and our amazing volunteers!
