January 22 & 23 - Pacific Science Center is Coming to Peter Kirk!
Let’s make 2026 sparkle with curious minds. Students K-5 will enjoy a whole-day experience with Pacific Science Center - Science on Wheels. This visit starts with a 40-minute assembly, then continues into a 30-minute interactive pop-up exhibit and 45-minute classroom workshop. The theme for the day is Physics - think lids popping off cans, powerful magnets and wild, frizzy hair moments!
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade will participate on Day 1 (Thursday, January 22)
3rd Grade - 5th Grade will participate on Day 2 (Friday, January 23)
Gym assemblies start promptly at 8:45am on both days so be sure to make it to school on time.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We need 3-4 volunteers for approx 1.5-hour blocks to support learning and exploration in the pop-up exhibit experience. Follow the steps below to sign up.
2. SIGN UP for your block. Exhibit schedules are shown below.
3. Once signed up, make sure to complete a VOLUNTEER RELEASE. PacSci requires all volunteers assisting with pre-program set up, post-program load-out and facilitating student safety and engagement with the Program exhibits to submit a Volunteer Release prior to assisting with the Program.
