What is the Fund Our Eagles Fun Run?
The Fund Our Eagles Fun Run is the Peter Kirk PTSA's largest annual fundraiser -- and one of our favorite school-wide traditions!
The Fun Run is the exciting finale of our annual Fund Our Eagles fundraising campaign and a school-wide celebration of Peter Kirk spirit. Every student participates alongside their classmates, making their way around a designated course at their own pace while music plays and family and staff cheer them on. Students can truck along in their own way! The focus is simply being active, having fun, and celebrating everything we've accomplished as a Peter Kirk Community.
Are laps counted or tracked for donations?
No! This is not a per-lap fundraiser, and donations are not connected to how far or fast students run. The Fun Run is simply an opportunity for every student to get outside, be active, and celebrate together. Students can participate at whatever pace feels comfortable for them.
WHY are we raising money?
Your donations help fund the programs and experiences that make Peter Kirk such a special place to learn and grow. PTSA funding supports programs such as:
- Art and clay
- Choir and student newspaper
- Grade-level enrichment opportunities
- Math and reading clinics
- Classroom stipends and field trips
- School assemblies and special programs
- Capital projects
- School upgrades (i.e. new gaga pit door, installation of the peace poles!)
- Community events such as Trunk-or-Treat, Dance Party and Carnival
These experiences are made possible by the generosity of our Peter Kirk community. The PTSA invests more than $220 per student each year to enhance learning, support teachers, and bring our school community together.
WHO participates?
Every Peter Kirk student! All students will receive an official 2026 Fun Run t-shirt and participate with their grade level during the school day.
WHEN is the Fun Run and can I come cheer on my student?
The Fun Run will take place on Oct. 2, 2026. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, and family members are encouraged to join us and cheer on our Eagles! Additional details such as grade-level run times will be shared closer to the event.
HOW do I donate?
Our fundraising goal for the 2026-2027 school year is $83,000. We recommend a one-time donation of $200 per student, but our biggest goal is participation from every Peter Kirk family. Every donation -- no matter the amount -- helps us provide meaningful programs and experiences for our students.
