5th Graders: Leave Your Mark! 

 

We're inviting all 5th graders to contribute their artistic talents by creating doodles & borders to be featured throughout the yearbook! 

Here's how to participate:

  1. Download the template: Yearbook doodles.pdf
  2. Get creative! Use the template to create doodles or background images. 
  3. Review the guidelines: This presentation provides important information about the types of doodles we're looking for and how to submit your artwork.

Submit your doodles by Friday, January 30th: email yearbook@peterkirkptsa.org, upload to dropbox, or turn in the submissions to your teacher.

Calling All 5th Graders - Let's Celebrate Your Journey!

 

The yearbook will include a special “Then & Now” section celebrating our wonderful 5th graders and how much they’ve grown since kindergarten!

 

 How to Participate:

  1. Find photos: Dig out those adorable kindergarten photos and snap some new ones!
  2. Recreate a pose or theme: Have fun recreating a favorite pose, or choose a theme like "Crazy Hair Day" or "First Day of School."
  3. Submit your photos: Upload your photos to the Then & Now Dropbox by February 20th.

Important Notes:

  • No official school photos, please.
  • Rename your files to include the students’ first and last names.
  • Example for a photo with 1 student: AmandaWaltman.jpg
  • Example for a photo with 2 students: JohnSmith_MissyWalters.jpg
  • If uploading from your phone, enter the students’ first and last names in the "Your Name" field on Dropbox.

Then & Now FAQs

 

  • Can we include a group photo even if someone moved away? 

 

Absolutely! Include one fewer child in the "Now" picture, or replace them with a new student.

 

  • Can we include someone in a "Now" photo even if they weren't here in kindergarten?

 

Yes! You can include two solo pictures from kindergarten and one group shot for 5th grade, or find the best possible kindergarten comparison, even with a new person added.

 

Bring the Yearbook Cover to Life!

 

We’re on the hunt for an amazing yearbook cover, and we want your creativity front and center! This year’s tagline is Hunt for Success, and we can't wait to see how you bring it to life!

Here's how to participate:

 

1. Get inspired! Think about what Hunt for Success means to you. How can you express the spirit of exploration, growth, and excitement of our school year through your art?

 

2. Create your masterpiece! Use any medium you like: markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint, or cut paper. Remember to use bright and bold colors!

 

3. Follow the guidelines:

    • Cover must include the following words: Peter Kirk, 2025-2026, Hunt for Success
    • Artwork must be in portrait orientation (vertical).
    • Use a regular piece of paper (8.5 x 11 inches).
    • Write your name and teacher's name on the back of your artwork.

4. Submit your entry!

    • Digital submissions: Email your artwork to yearbook@peterkirkptsa.org by Friday, February 27th.
    • Paper submissions: Give your artwork to your teacher by Friday, February 27th.

All entries will be displayed in the yearbook and the winning design will be featured on the cover! Your ideas make our yearbook brighter, and we’re grateful you’re part of it!
